NCS Welcomes New Resource Officer

NCS is excited to welcome and introduce our new School Resource Officer (SRO), Lee Hutchens. Officer Hutchens is a 2003 graduate of Olive Branch High School. He has a degree in Criminal Justice. He served in the marines for six years, has been in law enforcement for thirteen years, and has worked for the Desoto County Sheriff’s Department for ten years. Officer Hutchens is one of two officers who were shot and injured in January 2017, when approaching and apprehending an armed robbery suspect in Southaven. He is married to wife, Kaitelyn, and they are expecting twin girls in December. Officer Hutchens says that being married and now having his own children is what made him interested in applying for the SRO job at NCS. He wants to create relationships with our students and families and looks forward to protecting and serving our students and school. Welcome to the NCS Family, Officer Lee Hutchens!
