Eighth-graders, Tate Haynes and Tyler Jordan, have been accepted to the Trent Lott Leadership Institute for Rising Ninth Graders at the University of Mississippi.
The Lott Leadership Institute for Rising Ninth Graders is a summer program created to develop critical thinking and leadership skills in soon-to-be high school freshmen. Its aim is to cultivate and inspire honest, compassionate, and responsive leaders who will focus on responsibility and stewardship.
The overall goal of the program is that students completing the program will put their new skills to work for the betterment of their schools and communities.
No more than forty total students are selected for the program. We are proud of our NCS students selected!
