NCS Verse Choice for 2017-2018

August 25, 2017

Northpoint Christian School is off to a great start this fall! Our staff professional development sessions were productive. I took the opportunity to share with teachers and staff my observations and evaluations of my first year at Northpoint. I was also able to share the results of the parent survey completed last spring. In many ways, my observations and the survey results were on par with each other. Now that we are three weeks into the school year, I can say with confidence, that our administrators, teachers, and staff have received the feedback and are working to build upon our strengths and improve our areas of weakness. We will forever strive to improve the services we provide our students and their families. I am grateful for your input and feedback last year.

In preparing for the 2017 – 2018 school year, God gave me a theme verse. Our verse is Micah 6:8, “… the LORD has told you what is good, and this is what he requires of you: to do what is right, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.” These words are my heart’s desire for our school this year. Our teachers, staff, and students have been challenged with this truth. In all matters, we will strive to “do what is right.” In my professional and personal experiences, I have learned the only way to live at peace with everyone, and to live without regret, is to “do what is right.” We will use this as a foundational principle for making all school decisions; and we will constantly remind our students to do the same. Next, we will not just work to extend mercy, but to truly “love mercy.” Again, this truth will help shape and determine how we treat each other and respond when conflict arises. Lastly, it is a valuable attribute to “walk humbly with your God”. We must realize our value is only in the one, true God who created each of us, and gives us strength each day. We will give all glory to Him!

Northpoint Christian School wants to serve, and be a blessing, to you and your family, in any way possible. We want to support your family and church, by providing a rock-solid foundation for your child(ren) to build their lives on. Please pray for Northpoint Christian School as we strive to provide the very best Christ-centered, college preparatory, education possible.
It is a privilege to serve you and your family.
